The Punjabi Movie Jodi, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira, was released outside India on May 5 and within India on May 6. With over 12 million views on YouTube, the trailer of Jodi has already broken the record for Punjabi trailers viewed in 24 hours. It’s story has struck a chord with everyone and now they can’t stop praising it.

This film, based on the musical journey of Diljit Dosanjh (Amar Sitara) and Nimrat Khaira (Kamaljot Kaur), amuses the audience greatly. A laborious quest to reshape Punjabi folk music in the 1980s is the focus of Amberdeep Singh’s film, which is written and directed by him.

What caught our attention was that, after blowing the audience away at Coachella, Dosanjhawala is now making his mark at the box office in the United States. Rhythm Boyz Entertainment and Thind Motion Pictures have released Jodi, a film that broke box office records in the U.S. this weekend. It grossed $734,000 on just 125 screens in the US.
There is no doubt that the number is huge for a Punjabi film in the United States. It demonstrates that fans are showering their love from around the world on this regional film featuring Diljit and Nimrat. We first saw the song poster on the billboard, which shared the news.
