Sonakshi Sinha, a prominent Bollywood actress, is set to star as a police officer in the upcoming crime drama series ‘Dahaad’, which will be released on a streaming platform. On Thursday, her appearance in the series was revealed. The show, created by filmmakers Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, will be Sinha’s digital debut.

‘Dahaad’, an 8-part crime drama series that revolves around Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati (played by Sonakshi) and her colleagues in a small town police station, is scheduled to release on May 12, 2023. The series had its world premiere at The Berlinale International Film Festival and became the first Indian series to achieve this feat.

The story begins with the discovery of several women’s bodies in public restrooms under mysterious circumstances. Initially, the deaths are assumed to be simple cases of suicide, but as the investigation progresses, Anjali starts to suspect that a serial killer is behind them.

‘Dahaad’ is a crime drama series directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. Leading the cast of the series are Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah. The show is produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby, and it is set to release on May 12, available for streaming.

The official Twitter account of Prime Video recently announced the release of the much-awaited crime drama series ‘Dahaad’, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Verma. The post stated, “Only a powerful roar can uncover the truth #DahaadOnPrime, New Series, May 12”, and informed that the series will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime starting from May 12, 2023.
