Spotify has released its Wrapped 2022 roundup, naming the most streamed artists and albums globally this year. Globally, Taylor Swift, BTS, and The Weekend are at the top of the lineup. But who are the Indian listeners’ favorite singers?

For the third year in a row, Arijit Singh has been the most-streamed artiste on Spotify in India, followed closely by Pritam, AR Rahman, and Anirudh Ravichander. Shreya Ghoshal is also placed in the top five of the list.
Punjabi singers AP Dhillon and Sidhu Moose Wala were the sixth and eighth most-streamed artists in India.

One of the most-streamed tracks this year in India was Pritam’s Voda. Others on the list include Shae Gill and Ali Sethi’s Pasoori, Brahmastra’s Kesariya by Pritam, Arijit Singh and Amitabh Bhattacharya, Shubh Music’s No Love and Chaand Baaliyan by Aaditya.
The top of the list for most-streamed albums was Moose Wala’s Moosetape.

Three of the top five albums were movie soundtracks. They included Shershaah, Kabir Singh, and Brahmastra. The other two releases were AP Dhillon’s Hidden Gems and Grime Time.
Leeza Mangaldas’ The Sex Podcast is the most popular. Following it are Mythpat, The Ranveer Show, Chanakya Niti and On Purpose with Jay Shetty.

The streaming company stated, “There’s no single way to define what a year 2022 has been.” They continued, “Coming back after a few years of uncertainty has led each of us to create a “new normal” in our relationships to culture—and to each other.”
This year, Spotify is pairing up with new features and interactive listening visuals. The streaming service is not only giving users a look back at their listening journey in 2022 but also telling them what “Listening Personality type” they belong to: are they adventurers, deep divers, or devotees?

Spotify has an interactive story called Audio Day that allows you to listen to how your musical taste evolves throughout a day.
“Audio Day” is a feature in Spotify that tells you what kind of music you listened to over the course of the day. It collects information on your moods and makes specific recommendations based on the time of day, according to Spotify.
