Disney+ Hotstar is all set to introduce a brand new family drama to Indian households with its latest offering, ‘Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo’. The teaser trailer for the show was released on April 12, 2023. This new show takes a different approach to the classic ‘Saas-Bahu’ genre of Indian television by featuring an all-female cast who are anything but ‘Sanskari bahu’.

In the upcoming series, produced by Maddock Films and directed by Homi Adajania, viewers can expect to see a star-studded cast, including Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar, and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. Alongside them, Ashish Verma, Varun Mitra, Udit Arora, Deepak Dobriyal, and Monica Dogra will also make appearances in the show.
Dimple Kapadia, who played a significant role in the Shah Rukh Khan-led film ‘Pathaan,’ is set to make her debut in a web series titled ‘Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo.’ The upcoming quirky thriller is said to feature Kapadia in a strong role, possibly as the ‘saas’ or mother-in-law, alongside co-stars Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar, and Isha Talwar.
The teaser commences with the popular title song of the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi TV series, displaying glimpses of the joyful lives of the main characters, depicting hope and empowerment for women. However, the scene suddenly changes to depict violence and drama as Dimple pulls out a gun, Radhika engages in a bloody fight, and other misfortunes occur.

According to actress Kapadia, “It’s a group of tough women telling a story that is usually reserved for male characters, and trust me, it features some of the most vibrant characters you’ll ever come across. The show is as crazy as our director Homi Adajania’s mind, who has turned a family drama on its head to create a captivating binge-watch experience that will soon be available on Disney+ Hotstar.”
