Now we can add another historical movie to the list of movies that we have seen in Pollywood. A new film has been released in cinemas, Maurh, starring Ammy Virk and Dev Kharoud. It tells the story of two brothers, Jeona Maurh and Kishna Maurh, two brothers who became bandits in Punjab. Our review of the movie does not contain any spoilers.
Story Overview
The story follows two boys who experience prejudice from society due to their poverty. Kishna Maurh (Dev Kharoud) stands his ground and speaks out against it, but to no avail – he remains unable to effect any change. Eventually, he joins Jaimal (Kuljinder Sidhu) and Dogar (Vikramjeet Virk), becoming a bandit himself. Amiek Virk, Parmveer Singh, Naiqra Kaur, and other characters come together in the plot as Ammy Virk finds motivation to become a bandit and we learn of his reasons for doing so in the movie. While you thought the film was going to advance to a new level, the unconvincing screenplay ruined that.
Star cast Performances
If we talk about the actors in our Maurh movie review, then we must say that there are a lot of excellent performances in this film. Dev has already played fierce roles before and never disappoints his fans. However, watching Ammy in an action-oriented role was a new and enjoyable experience. We have seen his songs, but watching Ammy as Jeona Maurh was something new and exciting.

In addition to Ammy Virk and Dev Kharoud, every actor played their roles beautifully and gracefully, but Vikramjeet Virk stood out for us as Dogar.
Direction
This storyline has been executed brilliantly by Jatinder Mauhar, and he will be remembered for it for many years to come. His introduction of each character at the right time made it look very convincing. Understanding how to use picturesque locations, he has captured some admirable shots without any compromise. It looked a bit fussy with no clear intention of finishing it in one go, but each character was written beautifully and none looked in or out, which overshadowed the flaws.
Songs
During the movie, there are 3 songs, including Jasmine Sandlas’ Gaun and Amrinder Gill’s Nigah. The songs are good to listen to but do not add much to the storyline.

Overall Review
It is Maurh’s excellent performances that will give you moments in the movie you have never seen before. You must watch it. Punjabi Adda Blog Team gives 3.8 stars to Maurh. Due to a fussy screenplay, disappointing songs, and some dubbing issues, 1.2 stars are deducted.
