A video shared by Salim Merchant on Instagram announces that Sidhu Moosewala’s song “Jaandi Vaar” will be released. The song is a collaboration between him and Afsana Khan, and it is one of many songs that Sidhu recorded in Chandigarh in July 2021. Salim Merchant said that the subject of this poignant and melancholy song was Sidhu Moosewala himself. Salim further announced his promise to contribute money from this song to help out with the financial needs of Sidhu’s parents.

Salim also shared that after meeting Sidhu, he felt inspired by how passionate the singer was about his art and songs. Sidhu’s way of thinking intrigued Salim as well, so his team decided to collaborate right away. Moreover, Salim further revealed that the upcoming song “Jaandi Vaar” was recorded at Sachin Ahuja’s studio located in Chandigarh, Punjab. It is a touching, sincere, and emotionally charged song.

Merchant reveals that Sidhu sang from the bottom of his heart and that he and Afsana Khan contributed some lovely vocals to the track. The team is releasing this song as a way of paying tribute to Sidhu Moose wala, one of their idols who has sadly passed away but his music still lives on.
