In his first public appearance since Sidhu’s death, Sidhu’s Father made an appearance at the inauguration of a road in Burj Dhalwa village, near Mansa. Sidhu had previously promised about this road during his elections campaign.
Moose Wala’s father spoke at the opening ceremony for the road and said that his son had been targeted in at least eight attacks, but was saved due to security. However, there was a lack of security under this government and he was killed as a result.
“When I contested the election with such hope, I was sad when I lost. But then, after going to Dubai for a show, he told me that he will be working for the region and its people in the future- but he won’t be contesting elections again because it’s attitude isn’t good,” the man continued.
The AAP government in Punjab is being accused of “run a parallel government” and allowing gangsters to kill innocent people. The investigation is still ongoing and law enforcement has apprehended Lawrence Bishnoi, but the criticism over the government’s decision to decrease security levels for high-profile VIPs continues.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29th, one day after his security was reduced by the state government. His family even met union Home minister Amit Shah in Chandigarh to ask for a probe and strict action against the culprits.
