However, Moosewala’s promising career was cut short when he was tragically killed at the age of 28 in May 2022. Members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang shot Moosewala in the Mansa district of Punjab, at a time when he was supposedly at the peak of his career. The young singer’s murder shocked the public, and all of his property was handed over to his parents following his death.

Furthermore, it is believed that Sidhu Moosewala’s other tracks have earned more than Rs 50 lakh in royalties since his demise. According to Zee Media, when taking into account ad deals and royalties from platforms like Spotify and Wink, Moosewala’s music earned upwards of Rs 2 crore after his death.

Before his untimely demise, Sidhu Moosewala used to charge Rs 20 lakh for his live shows and concerts, and over Rs 2 lakh for public events. Despite his young age, Moosewala had already earned a substantial amount. Even after his passing, his royalties continue to go to his family.

Sidhu Moose Wala Way Into Politics
Although a powerful and influential lyricist on stage, Sidhu Moose Wala’s political aspirations did not resonate with the people of Mansa. He joined the Congress National Party and ran as a candidate in the Mansa constituency, but his popularity as a singer did not translate to votes.
Ultimately, he suffered a devastating loss and was defeated by the Aam Aadmi Party “Dr. Vijay Singla won by a substantial margin of 63,323 votes.”
